On April 16th, the third Sichuan Provincial Undergraduate school Teachers' Teaching Innovation Competition, hosted by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education, organized by the Sichuan Higher Education Society, and co-organized by Southwest Jiaotong University, came to a close at the Xipu campus. The university won 10 awards, setting a new record for the total number of awards received. Among them, a team composed of Xie Dong, Wu Ping, Fan Daihe, Wang Hui, and other teachers from the School of physical Science and Technology won the third prize, adding new glory to the school's education and teaching work!
The school Teachers' Teaching Innovation Competition is the only competition for school teachers that is included in the Ministry of Education's “Three Evaluations and One Competition” program and covers all disciplines, majors, and professional titles. The competition, with the theme of “Promoting Teaching Innovation and Cultivating First-Class Talents,” aims to promote the deepening of higher education teaching reform, effectively support the construction of the “Four News,” promote the integration and innovative development of information technology and higher education teaching, and comprehensively promote the construction of curriculum ideology and politics. This year's Sichuan Provincial competition was organized by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education and undertaken by the Sichuan Higher Education Society. The competition started in December 2022 and lasted for nearly five months, with three stages: online evaluation, on-site evaluation (preliminary round), and on-site evaluation (finals). A total of 252 teachers (teams) from 52 schools in the province participated in the competition. The teachers from the School of Physics and Technology, with the support of the school, made full preparations and achieved excellent results!
In recent years, the School of physical Science and Technology has actively promoted the high-quality development of education and teaching work, especially since the successful convening of the school Party Congress. The school has insisted on coordinating and implementing the school's “14th Five-Year Plan,” continuously deepening the comprehensive reform of the school, adhering to the development concept of “emphasizing teaching, strengthening scientific research, revitalizing disciplines, and cultivating new talents,” and adhering to the general tone of seeking progress while maintaining stability.
