On April 13th, 2023, at 2:30 pm, three teaching and research sections of the Department of Physics in the School of Physical Science and Technology held a teaching seminar in classroom X30404. The theme was to share teaching resources and discuss teaching models.
Professor Cheng Youfeng shared his views on problem-oriented teaching in university physics and experiments, introducing three papers that discussed project-oriented teaching. Professor Cheng summarized the different approaches taken by the authors to project-oriented teaching and provided his own opinions on the corresponding teaching methods. The teachers engaged in lively discussions, with Dr. Zhang Wenting raising her own confusion about problems encountered during her classes, and Professor Ma Xiaojuan discussing issues with students' experimental operations in theoretical classes. Teachers such as Wu Ping, Xie Dong, Gao Simin, and Shen Junfeng also shared their experiences and opinions on the topic.
Professor He Yu shared her experience in establishing a university physics teaching resource library during the teaching process. The library includes teaching videos, course lesson plans, exercise sets, and all materials that can support both online and offline university physics teaching. In addition, Professor He also shared her specific operational methods and experiences in using the resource library. Most importantly, she provided ways for all teachers who want to use the resource library to access the resources during the teaching process. She suggested that every teacher should join in the construction of the resource library.
Sharing resources allows young teachers to use existing resources as a platform for teaching, allowing them to invest more of their teaching energy into practical teaching and improve their teaching skills and understanding and mastery of knowledge. Collaborative discussion allows teachers to learn from each other's experiences in teaching and practical operation methods. This sharing and discussion process can improve the overall teaching level of all teachers. We hope to have more mechanisms to encourage communication and sharing among teachers, so that we can all progress together.
