At 4:00 pm on April 26th, 2023, the School of Physical Science and Technology held a "Party-Mass Unity, Self-Improvement" themed party day demonstration activity at the Red Post Station in Building 3 of Tianyouzhai in the Xipu campus.
In the first activity, Professor Jia Huanyu, the vice dean of the School of Physical science and Technology, shared his experience of conducting scientific research at the Yangbajing International Cosmic Ray Observatory in Tibet in his early years with the active party members and young teachers present. Dean Jia Huanyu put forward three pieces of advice based on his work experience: encouraging students to strengthen their studies, forging the quality of perseverance, and maintaining physical fitness. His wonderful sharing received bursts of applause from the students.
In the second activity, student Zhang Baisen shared his four years of university life, summarizing it as exploring physics and seeking truth, passing on the torch, gathering small streams into a great river, and having a goal. Zhang Baisen has served as a class monitor, resident instructor, and student deputy secretary of the party branch, and has actively contributed to the organization. In addition, Zhang Baisen has also participated in various social volunteer activities and achieved success in competitions. Zhang Baisen is very grateful for the cultivation and nurturing he has received from Jiaotong University.
In the third activity, student Zhang Zhe shared his self-improvement journey as a model pioneer who is not afraid of difficulties and has climbed all the way up. From the moment he entered the university, Zhang Zhe was determined to become a Jiaotong University student who makes his family proud. Like the previous student, Zhang Zhe played a leading role as the class monitor in driving the class collective to be positive and upward. In terms of scientific research and competition, Zhang Zhe also made great efforts and achieved remarkable results. Zhang Zhe is determined to go where the country needs him and realize his own value.
In the fourth activity, Guo Jian, the deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Physical science and Technology, gave a speech combining the speeches of Dean Jia Huanyu and the two students, providing suggestions for students to advance in accordance with their own goals and to identify and correct their own problems.
In the fifth activity, under the leadership of the host Zhang Baisen, all the comrades present reviewed the oath of joining the party.
