On the afternoon of June 15, 2023, the Party Branch of Electronic Information Science and Technology Department of the School of Physical Science and Technology organized all teachers in X30345 of Xipu Campus to conduct political theory study. Chen Xi, a member of the school party committee, Guo Jianqiang, a member of the school labor committee, and all party members of the branch attended the study, which was chaired by Li Jinlong, the branch secretary.
The main contents of this study include: (1) the important speech by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the fifth collective study session of the Central Political Bureau; (2) the speech by Minister Huai Jinpeng of the Ministry of Education at the thematic education exchange symposium for non central government directly affiliated universities; (3) the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China - the connotation of Chinese-style modernization.
On the afternoon of May 29, the Central Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China conducted collective study on building a strong education country. General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized during the study that education is the foundation of a strong country and a strong nation. To build a socialist education power with Chinese characteristics, we must adhere to the Party's overall leadership over the education cause as the fundamental guarantee, take cultivating people with high moral standards and creativity as the fundamental task, take educating people for the Party and for the country as the fundamental goal, take serving the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation as an important mission, take modernizing education concepts, systems, content, methods, governance, and supporting and leading Chinese-style modernization as the core function, and ultimately provide people with satisfactory education and cultivate socialist builders and successors with all-round development of morality, intelligence, physical health, aesthetics, and labor skills. Combining with the education power and thematic education, this study comprehensively learned about the connotation of Chinese-style modernization. The process of Chinese-style modernization is a relay race. Through the overall layout of the "Five-in-One" and the "Four Comprehensive" strategic layout, a new path of Chinese-style modernization has been opened, which has distinct important features such as a huge population, common prosperity of all people, coordinated development of two civilizations, harmonious coexistence of man and nature, and peaceful development. Finally, the participating teachers conducted discussions on education power, thematic education, and Chinese-style modernization, and shared their insights and experiences on the modernization process and education modernization.
