On the afternoon of June 29, 2023, the Physics Department Party Branch conducted a study on implementing Xi Jinping's new era of Chinese characteristics themed education, and Vice Dean Li Xiangqiang gave a party class on "Learning Strong Nation and Digital Education" for all party members in room X30326.
Li Xiangqiang focused on the development path of socialist education with Chinese characteristics, the construction of an education power with Chinese characteristics, the fundamental task of education, the necessity of strengthening teachers before improving education, and the importance of digital education in building an education power. Li Xiangqiang pointed out that as university teachers, we should seriously consider what kind of people to cultivate, how to cultivate them, and for whom to cultivate them. In frontline teaching, we should adhere to high-quality development as the lifeline of all levels and types of education, and strengthen the construction of basic disciplines, emerging disciplines, and interdisciplinary fields.
Li Xiangqiang proposed that digital education is an important way to build an education power, and the current digital transformation of universities is still in an unconscious and exploratory stage. The core of digital teaching is reform and teaching, emphasizing the technology and capabilities of the digital age. As teachers, we should shift from simply imparting knowledge to supporting students in exploring independently using digital technology. Teachers should learn to transform into multiple roles and have the ability to innovate and apply digital innovation flexibly.
