March 7, 2025 — On the afternoon of March 7, 2025, Jia Huanyu, Dean of the College, and Guo Jian, Deputy Secretary of the School Party Committee, visited the Department of Applied Physics to announce leadership changes. The meeting, attended by all faculty members of the department, was chaired by Liu Qijun, Secretary of the Department’s Party Committee.
During the session, Deputy Secretary Guo Jian read out the official appointments and removals approved by the School Party Committee and the Joint Party-Administrative Meeting:
· Ni Yuxiang has been relieved of his position as Chair of the Department of Applied Physics.
· Tang Yongliang has been appointed as the new Department Chair.
· Zhao Ke has been appointed as Deputy Department Chair.
Following the announcement, Ni Yuxiang, Tang Yongliang, and Zhao Ke each delivered remarks, pledging to uphold their responsibilities and contribute to the department’s development.
Dean Jia Huanyu, speaking on behalf of the School leadership, acknowledged Ni Yuxiang’s outstanding contributions during his tenure. He urged the newly appointed leaders, Tang Yongliang and Zhao Ke, to swiftly adapt to their roles, elevate their strategic vision, and diligently fulfill their duties. He emphasized the importance of aligning with the School’s overarching goals to drive progress for both the department and the institution.
The meeting concluded with a call for unity and collaboration among faculty members to advance academic excellence and institutional growth.
