With the strong support of our university's undergraduate college, the competition team teachers from the National Demonstration Center for Experimental Physics Education guided our students to achieve excellent results in multiple physics discipline competitions from July to August 2025.

From July 20 to 24, the 11th National College Physics Experiment Competition (Teaching Category), organized by the Joint Association of National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Centers and hosted by Sun Yat-sen University, was held at Guangzhou and Zhuhai campuses. Yang Hongyu from the Applied Physics program won the national first prize in Basic Experiment B, Dong Yaowen received the third prize in Basic Experiment A, while Guo Jingnuo and Liu Hao were awarded the third prize in the comprehensive category. Additionally, our university received the Outstanding Organization Award.

From August 5 to 8, the 2nd Southwest China College Physics Experiment Competition (Innovation Category) and the 11th National College Physics Experiment Competition (Innovation Category) Southwest China Preliminary Finals, jointly organized by the University Physics Course Teaching Guidance Committee of the Ministry of Education, Southwest Regional Working Committee of the University Physics Experiment Special Committee, and physical societies from Sichuan, Chongqing, Yunnan, Guizhou, and Tibet, took place at Southwest University of Science and Technology. Ten teams from our university participated, with Xu Ziqing from the 2023 Applied Physics Honors Class winning first prize and qualifying directly for the national competition. Four other teams won second prizes, and five teams received third prizes.

From August 14 to 19, the 16th China Undergraduate Physics Tournament, hosted by the China Undergraduate Physics Tournament Committee and the Virtual Teaching and Research Office for Physics Education Reform under the Ministry of Education, was held at the School of Physical Science and Technology, Inner Mongolia University. The team composed of Wang Yiming, Li Xinyu, and Yang Zhiwen won the third prize in the team competition. Additionally, Luo Xinwei and Wang Yiming were respectively awarded the Best Experimental Image Prize.

These remarkable achievements in high-level academic competitions are attributed to the university's long-term support for physics competitions and reflect the School of Physical Science and Technology's consistent emphasis on cultivating undergraduate students' innovation capabilities. The organization and participation in these events have advanced the demonstration center's practical exploration in physics experiment teaching reform, contributing to the cultivation of innovative talents and the university's "Double First-Class" initiative. They have also strongly supported the development of the demonstration center and enhanced the teaching capabilities of faculty members in physics experiment education.
