At 7 PM, November 24, 2019, in order to welcome all freshmen of the Grade 2019 and the arrival of the New Year, the welcome party of "Live to the fullest，stay true to the physics" hosted by The School of Physical Science and Technology was solemnly held on the third floor of the second canteen in Xipu Campus.
The party secretary, professor Liu Yu; the deputy party secretary, deputy dean, Guo Jian; the deputy party secretary, secretary of Commission for Discipline Inspection, Tang Meijiang; the deputy dean, associated professor Li Jinlong; the director of the Committee of Professors, professor Jia Huanyu; the assistant to the dean, Chen Xi of the Physical science and technology institute as well as representatives of college faculty, counselor, and students of all grades, the student advisor and chairman of the brother college attended the party.
On the party, the students and teachers gather together with delight, there is laughter and warm discussion everywhere. The immature and puerility of the students have been replaced by self-confidence and steady. From all over the country, students have become each other’s most familiar and closest partner! The cold weather could not stop the enthusiasm of the students, after the opening video, the students of the Sports Dance Association perform a wonderful opening dance which quickly ignites the atmosphere of the party and brings all the teachers and students an unforgettable visual feast, the lively party begins on this passionate night.
After that, The party secretary, professor Liu Yu gives a speech, he welcomes the arrival of the 2019 freshmen, and encourages all new students to think and plan about the four years of university life carefully, and tells the students to live a life with faith, dreams, efforts and dedication quoting the General Secretary Xi's remarks, and hopes that all the students can healthy growing up, in the journey of realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation in underdeveloped, create their own wonderful life. At last, Secretary Liu sent a message to the freshmen that they should never forget why you start in the journey of progressing , boldly reach a new height in life, live up to their youth, make persistent efforts and write a turn over a new leaf together.
Then the show begins.
Chapter one: Encounter with physics, pursue dreams at Southwest Jiaotong University
The “Young China” performed by The students from Class 2 in Grade 2019 of AP ignite the high moral of the freshmen. Then, the dance scene play “ Love you Slowly” brings the audience a poetic picturesque scene. As the audience are still immersed in the beautiful dance, the clapper talk "Volunteers" performed by Youth Volunteer Association and harvests much cheers and applause.
During the break, the exciting lucky draw begins, two lucky audience members were drew in the cheers of the students and harvest abundant awards.
Chapter two: Mutual progress, mutual dream
Hu Jun, the teacher of the Physical Science and Technology School brings a close-up magic show to everyone, and the magic receives a burst of applause and makes everyone feel marvel. Then, the teachers of the official department perform the song "The story of time", accompanying by melodious tunes students seem to go back to the old days. At the end of the performance, the student representatives come on stage to send flowers and receive bursts of applause.
AS students are still recalling the good old days, the students from Class 4 in Grade 2019 of telecommunications bring a time-travel drama "The time travel in Southwest Jiaotong University--unexpected misfortune of the fellowship" which causes everyone to laugh heartily and then to recognize that it is the duty of every student to help the students in difficulty. Then, a rap song named "Xia·Jiang" quickly enlivens the atmosphere, and the performer’s impassioned voice and fast flying speed win the applause from the audience.
Chapter three: Live to the fullest, chase dreams for the future
Mr. Ni Yuxiang and students from top physics class of 2019 bring us a chorus of "No. 999, Xian Road". Then two students from Class one in Grade 2019 bring us a cross talk show "Funny stories in the childhood" which makes the audience burst into laugh. Then a medley of music instruments "Help each other" brings the house down, the talented people's performance impresses the audience deeply. After that, the senior schoolmates bring us a pure English drama "Snow White", and their fluent oral English wins the audience's warm applause.
The final lucky draw was undoubtedly the most exciting part as the awards are an expensive Glory laptop, and in a tense atmosphere, a lucky audience was born!
Chapter four: Never forget why you start, realize the Chinese dream
Specially invited senior Zeng Qiang brings a wonderful magic show, the wonderful performance makes the pity of the students who did not win the hearts swept away. Later, several students from Class 2 and Class 4 in Grade 2019 of telecommunications, as well as the sophomore senior Wang Haolan, present the performance of "Wuji". The graceful dancing of the girls and the singing of the two leading boys made the audience feel as if they had been transported to the fairy tale. At the end of the performance, the audience cheered constantly.
Finally, the party ended successfully in the song "Powerful generation has me in" by the Student Union of Physics College. The success of the party is inseparable from the efforts of students and teachers. The teachers carefully planning, the performers tirelessly rehearse, the hosts conscientiously recitation of the draft and words and the student volunteers and staff’s efforts to decorate the venue, control the lighting and sound equipments. It is their sweat that makes such an unforgettable night which carries the youth. Live to the fullest，stay true to the physics!
