On February 27, a delegation led by Professor Xiong Shaolin, Vice Director of the Particle Astrophysics Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, visited the School of Physical Science and Technology. Vice Dean Jia Huanyu, Deputy Secretary and Vice Dean Guo Jian, Deputy Secretary Wei Zhenxing, and teachers from the Particle Astrophysics team attended the discussion. Prior to the meeting, Professor Xiong Shaolin gave a lecture on cosmic fireworks and space astronomical telescopes for Southwest Jiaotong University's Qian Sanqiang Talent Class and project-oriented course in Particle Astrophysics in Room X1403 at the Xipu campus. The lecture was conducted both online and offline. Professor Xiong systematically explained frontier detection technology and scientific knowledge in areas such as the universe and astronomy, gamma-ray bursts, and space astronomical telescopes. In the lecture, Professor Xiong pointed out that in recent years, China has made remarkable achievements in space astronomy research and is one of the few countries in the world that masters the technology of launching space satellites. Professor Xiong emphasized the achievements and advantages of China's independently developed "Huairou-1" Extreme Universe Satellite in observing gamma-ray bursts and solar flares. Deputy Researcher Zheng Shijie vividly introduced the overview of the research institute from the perspective of a young scientist from the Institute. Meanwhile, he introduced in detail the disciplinary specialty, training characteristics, employment prospects for graduates, enrollment plans, etc. of the Chinese Academy of Sciences' institute of High Energy Physics, welcoming all students to apply.

At the exchange meeting, Vice Dean Jia Huanyu warmly welcomed the delegation led by Professor Xiong Shaolin and expressed hope that the two sides would collaborate and innovate with each other, achieve mutual benefits and make greater contributions to science and technology innovation and talent cultivation. Deputy Secretary Guo Jian introduced the school and the college's situation. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on project applications, article publications, and talent cultivation, and expressed that they will continue to deepen comprehensive and all-around cooperation in the future, achieve complementary advantages and resource sharing, and work together for common development. After the meeting, the Particle Astrophysics Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences presented the School of Physics Science and Technology with a model of the "Huairou-1" Extreme Universe Satellite.
