The Development Planning Seminar of Daocheng Wuming Mountain Station of Sichuan Astronomical Observatory was successfully held on November 18th at Southwest Jiaotong University. The seminar was attended by Vice Director Rao Changhui from the Institute of Optics and Electronics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Deputy Dean Deng Yongquan and Ma Lin from the Institute of Science and Technology Development of Southwest Jiaotong University, Vice Dean Jia Huanyu from the School of Physical Science and Technology, Assistant Dean Cheng Jun, and Researcher Shen Yuandeng from Yunnan Astronomical Observatory. The seminar was hosted by the Particle Astrophysics Center team of Southwest Jiaotong University, and moderated by Professor Liu Yu and Professor Liu Siming, combining both online and offline methods.

At the seminar, Rao Changhui gave a report on the progress of high-resolution optical imaging technology for the solar atmosphere. Liu Yu also discussed the current situation and progress of the coronagraph, 1.8-meter and 2.5-meter solar telescopes at Daocheng Wuming Mountain Station, and the issues encountered during the development of Sichuan Astronomical Observatory's Daocheng Wuming Mountain Station were communicated and discussed.

Rao Changhui, Deng Yongquan, and Ma Lin also provided targeted guidance and suggestions. This seminar has important guidance implications for promoting the development of Sichuan Astronomical Observatory's Daocheng Wuming Mountain Station into a world-class astronomical highland.

Daocheng Astronomical Science Park is one of the important contents of building a comprehensive national science center in Sichuan Province and an important measure to implement the innovation-driven high-quality development strategy of Sichuan Province. In February 2021, China successfully obtained the white-light corona image using independently researched and developed coronagraph at unnamed mountain in Daocheng County. In the completed "General Plan for the Construction of Sichuan Daocheng Astronomical Park", Daocheng Wuming Mountain will be used as an education, research, and popular science base, adopting a "research + popular science" integration model to create an internationally leading astronomical observation research park. The WeHoST (2.5-meter), 1.8-meter telescope, coronagraph, and other projects will be located and developed in Daocheng Wuming Mountain, playing a synergetic role and making it gradually become a gathering place for China's optical astronomical telescopes and an astronomical research center.
