Applied Physics Department Discusses Quality Standards for Project-Oriented Courses

To further improve the quality of professional course teaching, the Applied Physics Department conducted a teaching seminar on March 16th at X30327, specifically discussing the 'Quality Standards for Project-Oriented  Courses.' The meeting was chaired by Vice Department Head Tang Yongliang. The seminar mainly discussed the content of the standards related to lesson preparation quality, course system, teaching outline, textbook writing, teaching methods, and assessment requirements. Attendees delved into these aspects of the standards and had in-depth discussions on how to better implement them.

Regarding lesson preparation quality, experts believed that teachers should fully consider students' actual needs during lesson preparation. They suggested using reasonable teaching methods and tools for different professional directions, designing teaching content meticulously, to ensure a comprehensive improvement in teaching quality. Regarding the course system, attention should be paid to the integrity and logic of the entire knowledge system, ensuring that students can gradually master the knowledge they are learning.


In addition, experts emphasized the importance of the teaching outline, believing that it should be scientific and practical, fully considering students' learning abilities and actual needs, and suggesting that ideological education should be incorporated into the course outline. The experts encouraged course teams to write textbooks, emphasizing the quality and readability of the content, as well as coordination with the teaching outline. Regarding teaching methods, teachers should use different teaching styles and methods based on students' different characteristics and needs to achieve the best teaching effect.

Finally, experts also had in-depth discussions on how to effectively evaluate teaching effectiveness and promote teaching improvement. Through this teaching research activity, the teachers of the Applied Physics Department jointly improved the 'Quality Standards for Project-Oriented Courses,' laying a solid foundation for the improvement of teaching quality for this course.
