The Physics Department Party Branch conducted its annual organizational meeting and democratic evaluation of party members for 2022 on March 23, 2023, from 2:30 to 5:00 pm at X30326. The meeting was chaired by Vice Secretary Zhu Hao, with all party members in attendance. Comrade Wei Zhenxing, Deputy Secretary of the School Party Committee, attended the meeting as an observer.
First, all party members studied the spirit of the 20th National Congress. In the report, Xi Jinping emphasized that 'from now on, the central task of the Communist Party of China is to unite and lead the people of all ethnic groups in the country to comprehensively build a modern socialist country and achieve the second centenary goal, and to comprehensively promote the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation with Chinese-style modernization.' To better understand the connotation and characteristics of the Chinese-style modernization path, Secretary Xie Dong gave a micro-party lesson to all party members on the 'historical logic of the Chinese-style modernization path.' The party lesson discussed the general concept and theory of modernization, the historical logic and basis of the Chinese-style modernization path, and compared it with the Western modernization model. The refreshing micro-party lesson sparked the interest of the teachers, and achieved very good learning results.
Next, Vice Secretary Zhu Hao conducted a comparative inspection on behalf of the Physics Department Party Committee, and the attending party members conducted a serious and critical review of their own problems, listened humbly to the opinions and suggestions of their comrades, and clarified the next step's rectification measures and efforts direction. Finally, Deputy Secretary Wei Zhenxing commented on the Physics Department's organization of the meeting. He said that the Physics Department Party Branch attaches great importance to this organizational meeting, and has made full ideological preparations before the meeting according to the requirements. During the meeting, the branch team and the committee accurately and deeply examined the problems, and the party members were able to conduct criticism and self-criticism with an open mind and objectivity. The rectification measures were pragmatic and targeted, achieving the expected results. He expressed several hopes for the work of the branch: first, to strengthen ideological guidance, arm the mind with Xi Jinping's new era of socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics, and seriously implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the 15th Party Congress of the school, further enhancing political quality and ideological guidance. Second, party members and cadres should take the initiative to work actively, adhere to problem orientation, and proactively undertake and act in their respective positions. Third, they should shoulder the responsibility of rectification and promote efficiency and development. He said that the college will also try its best to solve the specific practical problems raised by the teachers and create a better working environment for them. After the meeting, all party members evaluated the branch team and began the democratic assessment of the party members.
