Members of the school's party committee, including Secretary Liu Yu and Vice Dean Jia Huanyu (who chaired the meeting), as well as department heads, staff from the Graduate Education and Teaching Center, and representatives of supervisors, attended the research symposium. Jia Huanyu first gave a brief introduction to the school's graduate education work, emphasizing the origin and basis of the Graduate Education and Teaching Center. The center is a semi-entity organization established to strengthen the management and supervision of the guidance process of graduate supervisors and to effectively improve the quality of their guidance to students.

Zhou Tao, the school's assistant dean and director of the Graduate Education and Teaching Center, reported on the overall situation of the school's graduate degree and education work, including faculty, management mechanisms, enrollment, education, degree and student work, and summarized the difficulties and challenges faced by the school in graduate education management in recent years. After listening to the report and related introductions, Vice Dean Zhou Xianli fully affirmed the school's work in cultivating graduate talents. He pointed out that the school's graduate degree award rate is among the best in the university, and that the average number of SCI papers published by doctoral and master's graduates in 2022 ranks first in the university. He also praised the school's comprehensive reform of graduate education management, focusing on discipline construction and providing sufficient support for graduate education.

Subsequently, the participants had in-depth discussions and exchanges on the recruitment of high-quality sources and enrollment indicators. Vice Dean Zhou Xianli put forward targeted opinions and suggestions on the problems faced by the school in graduate education.

Finally, Secretary Liu Yu made a concluding speech and emphasized the need for the school to respond actively to the university's construction needs and development direction, improve the shortcomings in its work, strengthen the policy understanding and information mastery of graduate education management, broaden problem-solving ideas, actively report and communicate with relevant departments, and form a collaborative force to promote the school's graduate education work to a new level.
