On June 18, 2024, the China Association for Science and Technology officially announced the initiation of the "2024 Bilingual Communication Project for Scientific Journals." This project focuses on high-quality journals within the framework of the Excellence Action Plan for Chinese Scientific Journals and the National Society Journal Publishing Capability Enhancement Plan. It also invites other high-level scientific journals in China to participate actively. Through a rigorous selection process, a number of high-caliber Chinese and English scientific journals will be identified, and their outstanding papers will undergo long abstract or structured paper translations in both Chinese and English. The translation results will be shared with global scientific communities and promoted through the "Science and Innovation China" platform, providing convenient bilingual query and retrieval services to more efficiently disseminate Chinese research achievements.
A research paper titled "A thermal conductivity switch via the reversible 2H-1T' phase transition in monolayer MoTe2," authored by Dr. Zhang Dingbo (Postdoctor/Assistant Professor, First Author) and Professor Ni Yuxiang (Corresponding Author) from the School of Physical Science and Technology, has been successfully selected for the "Long Abstract Bilingual Communication Project" in 2024. It is noteworthy that the journal "Chinese Physics B (English)" publishes over 1,000 papers annually, and only 10 papers were recommended and selected for this project this year.
