April 1, 2024 — On the afternoon of April 1, the Party Committee of the School of Physical Science and Technology convened an expanded Party Committee meeting and a branch secretaries’ working session to deploy a comprehensive education campaign on deeply implementing the spirit of the Central Committee’s Eight-Point Decision. Attendees included the Secretary and Deputy Secretary of the School’s Party Committee, Party Committee members, leadership team members, full-time organizational staff, and faculty and student branch secretaries. The meeting was chaired by the Secretary of the School’s Party Committee.

During the meeting, the Secretary of the Party Committee led a collective study of the Notice on Carrying Out Education to Deeply Implement the Spirit of the Central Committee’s Eight-Point Decision Across the Entire Party issued by the General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC). Participants were briefed on the key directives from the March 12 meeting of the Central Party Building Work Leading Group and studied the Implementation Plan for Deepening Education on the Central Committee’s Eight-Point Decision released by the CPC Committee of Southwest Jiaotong University on March 28.
Deputy Party Secretary Guo Jian presented the School’s tailored Implementation Plan for Deepening Education on the Central Committee’s Eight-Point Decision and outlined detailed arrangements for branch-level learning activities.
The Secretary of the Party Committee underscored that the education campaign is a critical task for the School in 2024. He urged the Party Committee and all branches to strictly fulfill their responsibilities, deepen understanding of the campaign’s significance, and enhance political commitment to ensure rigorous implementation of the Eight-Point Decision. Emphasizing the campaign’s role in strengthening ideological awareness and advancing the Party’s integrity, he called for integrated efforts to improve Party conduct, administrative ethics, faculty ethics, and academic culture. These measures aim to safeguard high-quality development across the School’s initiatives.
