To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Tibet Autonomous Region, the School of Science at Tibet University held its fourth academic forum of 2025 on June 9, 2025. Professor Ni Yuxiang from our school delivered an academic report titled "Nanostructure Design of Materials and the Physical Mechanisms of Phonon Transport" at this forum.
During the report, Professor Ni delved into phonons as the primary carriers of heat transport in solids and explored how to effectively control phonon transport by designing material nanostructures, thereby enhancing the thermal conductivity of materials. This holds significant importance for application fields such as thermal barrier coatings and thermoelectric materials.

The forum was chaired by Professor Zhu Fengrong, with active participation from numerous teachers and students of the School of Science at Tibet University, creating a lively atmosphere. Following the report, Professor Ni Yuxiang also engaged in in-depth discussions with researchers specializing in condensed matter physics from Tibet University's School of Science on scientific research in the field of material physics.

This academic activity fostered academic exchange between the two universities. The school will continue to support and encourage faculty to participate in domestic and international academic exchanges, promote scientific research collaboration, and enhance academic influence.
