On the afternoon of October 9, 2025, the School of Physical Science and Technology organized a collective study session for its Party Committee Theoretical Study Center Group. The session was attended by members of the center group and the leadership team, with Li Zhuohui, Secretary of the School Party Committee, presiding.
Participants collectively studied General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech delivered at the September 29 meeting of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee. They also examined key guiding documents aimed at driving the high-quality development of the School’s undertakings, including the "State Council's Several Opinions on Comprehensively Strengthening Basic Scientific Research," the "Education Power Construction Plan Outline (2024–2035)," the "Three-Year Action Plan for Education Power Construction (2025–2028)," the "Southwest Jiaotong University Implementation Outline for High-Quality Disciplinary Development in the New Era (2025–2035)," and the "Southwest Jiaotong University Guiding Opinions on Discipline Cluster Construction."
Following the collective study, attendees engaged in in-depth discussions on the formulation of the School’s "16th Five-Year Plan." Each participant expressed their views, emphasizing the need to base the planning on the School's actual conditions, fully implement higher-level decisions and arrangements, steadily advance education and teaching reforms, strengthen the cultivation of innovative spirit and practical ability, and focus on improving the quality of talent cultivation.
