Facing the employment situation in the post-pandemic era, the School of Physical Science and Technology actively implements the concept of "Three Comprehensive Education," taking the development of students as the guide, and career education as the direction to fully support and assist students in their employment.
On the afternoon of March 30, 2023, Southwest Jiaotong University hosted the "Job Fair for 2023 Graduates" and "Internship Recruitment Fair." The Party Secretary of the School of Physical Science and Technology, Liu Yu, the Deputy Party Secretary, Guo Jian, Wei Zhenxing, and graduation counselors went to the job fair to understand job requirements and connect with recruiters, encouraging students to actively participate in the job search.
At the job fair, students actively communicated with employers based on their own situations and career plans, gaining a deeper understanding of the company's development, job responsibilities, and work content. The school e leaders paid close attention to the employment situation of the graduates, actively communicating with recruiters, introducing the characteristics of our majors, recommending our graduates, and providing interview skills and career planning guidance to students on-site. They also had in-depth conversations with the graduates to understand the problems encountered during the job search process and provided valuable advice to encourage them to seize the opportunity of the spring recruitment season and actively seek employment.
Secretary Liu Yu emphasized the importance of synergizing internal and external resources, inviting companies to participate in the recruitment process, and expanding employment channels. This will enable students to participate actively in employment while focusing on the effectiveness of talent cultivation. The school will continue to promote the "Visit Enterprises and Expand Employment Opportunities" campaign, strengthen cooperation with enterprises, broaden employment channels, improve the quality of employment services, and help graduates find better and faster employment opportunities. They will also guide graduates to consciously shoulder their responsibilities as pioneers, explorers, and contributors in this era.
Under the encouragement of the teachers, some third-year students arrived at the job fair to learn about employment information and applied for internships. Freshmen and sophomores were also present to learn about employment trends and set career goals.
