On the afternoon of May 4th, 2023, the Party Branch of the Department of Physics of the School of Physical Science and Technology held a meeting of all party members. The meeting discussed the recommendation of candidates for the "outstanding Party members" award for the 2021-2023 academic year, as well as the notification from the school regarding the organization of theme education on studying and implementing Xi Jinping's new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics. The meeting was held online and chaired by Comrade Zhu Hao.
Firstly, Secretary Xie Dong announced the purpose and selection criteria for outstanding Communist Party members, outstanding party workers, and advanced party branches for this year's "outstanding Party members" award. In order to deeply study and implement Xi Jinping's new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics and the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and to fully implement the strategic deployment of the 15th Party Congress of the school, advanced models and exemplary figures will be used to lead and motivate the Party branches and members to uphold the great spirit of the Party, remember their original aspirations and missions, forge ahead with determination, and show new missions, new responsibilities, and new achievements in the new era and new journey. According to the school's "outstanding Party members" award program, the school party committee has decided to commend a group of outstanding Communist Party members, outstanding party workers, and advanced party branches within the school before this year's "July 1st". During the discussion, everyone introduced and recommended party members who have performed well in their daily work.
Next, Secretary Xie Dong conveyed the arrangements for recent learning content. In accordance with the school's notification on the organization of theme education on studying and implementing Xi Jinping's new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics for secondary party organizations, and combined with the actual situation of the school, each party branch of the school should carry out relevant theme education. Secretary Xie Dong made arrangements for the Department of Physics Party Branch to conduct related studies in the future.
