On the morning of April 28th, 2023, the School of Physical Science and Technology held the first collective study (enlarged) of the Theoretical Learning Center Group for Studying and Implementing Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era at room 30345 of the Xipu campus. The study focused on deepening the understanding of General Secretary Xi Jinping's speech on studying and implementing Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era, how to conduct investigations and research, and the spirit of the third secretary's work conference in 2023. Members of the school's party committee theoretical learning center group, team members, and party branch secretaries participated in the study, which was chaired by Liu Yu, the party secretary of the School of Physical Science and Technology. Secretary Liu led the participants in studying General Secretary Xi Jinping's speech on studying and implementing Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era. Deepening the study of Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era is a major deployment made by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China to implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and mobilize the entire party to unite and struggle to accomplish the central tasks of the party. The school needs to further strengthen its learning and unify its thoughts and actions with the important speeches of General Secretary Xi Jinping and the decisions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
Vice Secretary Guo Jian led the participants in studying the "Work Plan for Conducting Investigations and Research throughout the Party". The meeting pointed out that we must improve our understanding and enhance our ideological consciousness, political consciousness, and action consciousness in conducting investigations and research. We should conduct investigations and research on the difficulties and pain points in the work of the school, use the worldview, methodology, and standpoint of Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era, conduct in-depth analysis, fully demonstrate, and list solutions one by one, and not relax until the problems are solved thoroughly. At the same time, we should strengthen supervision and investigation to ensure that the work is truly implemented and the problems are truly solved.
Vice Secretary Guo Jian conveyed the spirit of the third secretary's work conference in 2023. The school requires that in accordance with the spirit of the conference, it should conscientiously do a good job in ideological and political work in the new era, adhere to and comprehensively strengthen the leadership of the Communist Party of China, adhere to the socialist orientation of running schools, closely integrate ideological and political education with national political requirements, educate and guide teachers and students to deeply understand the decisive significance of the "two consolidations", enhance the "Four Consciousnesses", firmly establish "Four Confidences", and achieve "Two Maintenances". In the work, we must always keep a clear mind, a firm stance, a clear attitude, and never be ambiguous. We should strengthen the review and approval of information release, enhance our sense of responsibility, sense of mission, and sense of crisis, and guard our positions well. We should conscientiously study and understand the important speeches of General Secretary Xi Jinping on studying and implementing Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era, fully implement the overall requirements of "learning ideology, strengthening party character, emphasizing practice, and building new achievements", and solidly and orderly promote various aspects and work of theme education.
