Counselors from the School of Physics, the School of Mechanics and Aerospace Engineering, and the School of Mathematics jointly held the "Original Thinking" series of competitions to learn Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era. The event was attended by the Deputy Secretary of the university's party committee, Yu Minming, relevant unit leaders, all counselors, student party branch representatives, and youth league branch representatives. The "Original Thinking" activity is a continuation of the "Original Learning of Party History" activities held by the three schools. The aim is to organize counselors, student party branches, and youth league branches to learn the "Outline of Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era" without using computers, mobile phones, or PPTs, but instead using a book, a pen, and a heart to learn the ideology thoroughly, understand the spirit seriously, and express the experience authentically. Through the form of hosting competitions in turn, the activity aims to promote the integration of learning, thinking, and practice.
Liao Jun, the party secretary of the School of Marxism, demonstrated the learning of the first chapter of the "Outline." He elaborated on the five "news" of Chinese socialism, including the new changes in the primary contradiction of society, the new breakthroughs in the Party's theoretical innovation, the new goals of the Party and the country's development, the new international situation, and the new style of the Party's centennial history. This helped the teachers and students present to deeply understand the significance of "Chinese socialism entering a new era."

The wonderful speeches of the three counselors were applauded by the teachers and students present, and other counselors also shared their experiences. Yu Minming, the Deputy Secretary of the university's party committee, highly affirmed the effectiveness of the "Original Thinking" competition in his concluding speech.
