The Department of Electronic Information Science and Technology of the School of Physical Science and Technology organized a confidentiality education activity for all faculty members in room X30326 of the Xipu campus at 3:00 pm on May 11th, 2023. The activity was hosted by the department head, Professor Zhang Jianqiong.
Firstly, all faculty members participated in a fire safety and self-rescue training organized by the school. Through multiple real case studies, they learned about the hazards and main causes of fires, identified common hazards in teaching and research laboratory environments, and became familiar with the use of fire extinguishing tools and escape equipment. This enhanced the safety and fire prevention awareness and fire-fighting skills of all faculty members in their work and daily lives. Secondly, through the study of three typical cases of leaks of confidential information, they learned about the severe situation facing confidentiality work. Faced with the continuous innovation of monitoring methods and forms of intelligence information by domestic and foreign hostile forces and overseas intelligence agencies, this learning activity conducted an in-depth analysis of the occurrence process and responsibilities of typical cases, and enhanced the confidentiality awareness of all faculty members while understanding the confidentiality work system, effectively preventing and eliminating different types of theft and leakage of confidential information. Finally, the recent teaching work of the department was discussed and deployed, including undergraduate thesis defense, SRTP application, mid-term teaching inspection, and so on.
